FAQs

>How to I join an exchange?

You must first register for a Giftries Account. Once you have found an exchange you want to join, click “Join Group”. You will be directed to make payment and then will be added to the exchange.

>How do I make my wishlist?

Go to your account and click on “Edit Profile” under the Wishlist tab. Enter as much information as you want to help your Gifter pick the perfect gift for you. Be sure to enter your address here as well to receive your gift.

>I do not want to provide my actual address

We recommend using the address for your local post office and pick your gift up there. Alternatively, you can use a work address, but make sure this is allowed with your employer.

>What if my giftee does not have a wishlist?

You can send a message to your giftee to get an idea of what they want/like. Or just do your best with generic gifts.

>Is there a minimum spend amount for gifts?

The minimum to spend on a gift for each exchange is $25.00. You can obviously spend more than that if you choose to.

>Why is there a charge to join a gift exchange

We charge a minimum amount to join every gift exchange so that you have some skin in the game, so to speak. This is to discourage “no show gifters”; they are not welcome here and will be banned from future exchanges.

>I joined an exchange but no longer want to participate

Please contact us immediately if you no longer want to participate in an exchange that you joined. We will refund the cost of joining the exchange only if we receive contact from you PRIOR to the sign-up deadline. If you notify us after the sign-up deadline, we will remove you from the exchange but you will not receive a refund.

>I did not receive a gift from my gifter match

If you do not receive a gift for an exchange, please let us know. We will investigate with your gifter and ensure that a gift is sent to you.

>What happens if I do not send a gift to my giftee?

You will be banned from participating in future gift exchanges if you do not send a gift. You Giftries account will be terminated as well. Again, we do not welcome no show gifters.

>I mailed a gift but my giftee says they did not receive it

You will need to supply the receipt for the gift(s) purchased as well as the shipping receipt that shows the mailing address to prove gift was actually sent. We also recommend you ship your gift with tracking to verify delivery.

>What if I don’t like the gift I received?

You may not always receive something you want or like. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about this, and we make no guarantees about the gifts you receive.

If you feel that you were stiffed on your gift, please contact us to explain the situation. We do monitor Gifters gifts and take action if they are not gifting up to expectations, such as adhering to minimum purchase price, mailing gift, etc.
